Forklift and Lift-Truck Operator Safety Training
This hands-on course covers inspection and safe operation of powered industrial trucks. This course will teach you about the operational differences between a car and a forklift, power sources, capabilities, stability and carbon monoxide hazards while operating propane or diesel trucks inside buildings. A written test and a driving test, scheduled separately from the class day, must be completed to receive an operator’s license. The fee for the course covers the cost of the workbook and handouts.
Attendees must have experience operating the forklift they will use for their drive test prior to the course. This is an operator safety certification course, not basic training. If you have questions about this please contact EH&S Training.
