The UW Lead Safety Program Manual outlines the responsibilities of University departments, University employees and the Environmental Health & Safety Department (EH&S) to protect employees from occupational lead exposure.

This Manual also contains guidelines and procedures for exposure control, respiratory protection, and medical evaluations as directed by Washington state lead regulations (Washington State General Occupational Health and Safety Standard and Safety Standards for Construction Work, Washington Administrative Code 296-62-07521 and 296-155-176) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Lead-Based Paint Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Rule (40 CFR 745, Subpart E).
