Shop and Maker Space Safety

University personnel, students and visitors in shops and maker spaces may be exposed to hazardous machinery, physical hazards, hazardous materials or procedures that could result in injury.

Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) provides resources for shops and maker spaces to address the health and safety issues they may encounter.

Ergonomics

The Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Ergonomics Program helps University departments/units and personnel identify risk factors that can contribute to the development of work-related musculoskeletal injuries and determine solutions to eliminate or reduce these risk factors.

Coyotes on UW campuses

 

EH&S has received reports of coyote sightings on the Seattle campus. Coyotes have been present at our campus locations and vicinity for years and they are an important part of our ecosystem.
