3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, occurs on UW campuses in maker spaces, research labs and classrooms. New safety resources are available to University personnel and students using 3D printers, including an updated 3D Printer Safety Focus Sheet and two new standard operating procedures (SOP) templates.
The purpose of the Wildfire Smoke Response Plan is to help prevent smoke-related illnesses and injuries. University units and departments with personnel who work outdoors are required to complete this template to create a customized plan that serves as a component of their Supplemental Accident Prevention Plan.

When a critical lift is identified, the crane operator must complete the Crane/Hoist and Rigging Critical Lift Plan before the lift is conducted.
