UWMC Radiation Safety for Nursing Personnel Online

Intended audience

This course is required for nursing staff and other medical personnel who work with patients undergoing radiation therapy. Retraining is required annually.

Description

This course teaches basic knowledge of radiation safety procedures and terminology specific to the University of Washington. This training provides a forum for radiation safety personnel who interact with patients who have permanent or temporary radioactive implants or are administered therapeutic quantities of radioactive materials.

Radiation safety training for nursing personnel has been transferred to the University of Washington Medical Center Learning Hub (formerly LMS).  The course name is University of Washington Medical Center Radiation Safety for Nursing Personnel.
