Intended audience

This course is required for University personnel who are authorized radiation workers for unsealed radioactive materials. This refresher training is required annually after taking Radiation Safety for Research Laboratory Use Online.

Description

This course reviews the requirements to order, use, and store radioactive materials; review common inspection findings from radiation safety inspections; review the requirements for performing contamination surveys; and review the requirements for management of radioactive waste. This course does not meet the requirements for initial training required for all personnel who use radioactive materials.
