Intended Audience and Description

This refresher training is required annually for members of a permit-required rescue team. If not a member of the rescue team, refresher training is required for personnel assigned to work in permit-required confined spaces where a new hazard or procedure exists since their initial training, or personnel demonstrate a lack of knowledge or inadequate use of procedures. Fall Protection training and Confined Space Entry Initial training are prerequisites for this course.

The course refreshes understanding of the knowledge and skills required to safely enter, exit, and perform work in permit-required confined spaces. The training emphasizes hazard assessment, planning, air monitoring, safety equipment, gear, and rescue.
