All radioactive material must be locked and secured when not in use.

Violators will have their materials confiscated and their authorizations may be terminated.

    • Keep your lab secure by locking up all radioactive stock solutions when not in use.

    • If leaving the lab, even just to go the bathroom, ensure the lab is locked or someone is present.

    • If someone is in your lab that you do not know, ask who they are and what they are doing in your lab.

    • Locks and devices to secure your radioactive materials are available through the RSO.

    • If radioactive material is lost or stolen you should report it to the RSO immediately.
