  • Father of the X-Ray


  • Covered Crooke’s Tube (a glass tube with a cathode and anode across which a charge flows) with Cardboard.


  • Believed ultraviolet light was responsible for "glow".


  • Found that Fluorescent Materials across room still glowed.


  • Named them mysterious “X-Rays” in late 1896.
