This course is for custodial and other employees and staff who manage or clean up spills of potentially infectious materials. This course does not meet the regulatory Bloodborne Pathogen training requirements for laboratory or research staff. If you do not do the work this training is intended for, please refrain from taking this course as there is a fee charged to the University for each individual that opens the online course.
If you work in a laboratory, you must take the Bloodborne
Pathogens for Researchers - Online course.
If you work in a hospital or clinic, contact your supervisor regarding BBP training.
Training must take place between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, when a Bloodborne Pathogens instructor from the EH&S Research and Occupational Safety Office (ROS) at 206-221-7770 will be available to answer your questions. This course will show up in your training records as *Bloodborne Pathogens for Facilities Personnel-Online.*
After completing this training class, view the video clip on the proper/safe way to remove gloves, or ask your supervisor or an Occupational Health Specialist to assist you.
