Online Training Available for All UW Personnel
The following classes/presentations are available online and can be taken at
any time.
This short online course satisfies the regulatory requirement for every UW employee
to receive annual refresher training in general asbestos awareness. It is interchangeable with
the classroom session listed below. A certificate will be generated at the end as proof of completion.
Online: General Asbestos Awareness
This online course is for anyone who needs first-time Hazardous Materials
training or wants a review course for hazardous waste management.
Online: Managing Hazardous Waste
An online presentation designed for nursing staff and other medical
personnel who work with patients that are undergoing radiation therapy.

Take Radioactive Sealed Source Training
This is an online presentation to give interested personnel an
opportunity to refresh their knowledge of Radiation Safety procedures
and terminology specific to the Univeristy of Washington. This presentation
fulfills our license requirements to provide a forum for Radiation Safety
information.
This course does not meet the requirements for initial training
required for all personnel who wish to use Radioactive Materials.
