Compatible Containers

Leaking improper container image

Use a container that is compatible with its contents. A container that is incompatible with its contents will eventually break down and leak.

For example:

  • Hydrofluoric acid (HF) etches glass containers.
  • Acetone and chlorinated organic solvents dissolve some plastic containers.

Choose containers that are compatible with your waste. Leaking containers put you, your coworkers, and us at risk.

Also, we ship waste across the country for final disposal. Your container should survive the trip intact.
