Purchasing Equipment: Prior Approval and Notification

To help assure a safe environment and conformance to various health and safety regulations, the Purchasing Department requests approval from EH&S or gives notice to EH&S when a purchase order for certain services, equipment and material is received. If you are planning to purchase one of the following items and have questions about the requirements, please contact the EH&S staff person listed. Revised September 2005.

UW prohibits the use of space heaters. Individuals needing supplemental heat can review more information at Building Heat and Portable Space Heaters.
